Terms of Service
These terms govern access to CareerStride websites, applications, AI-assisted career workflows, subscriptions, trials, and related services.

Who We Are
CareerStride is operated by Shopping Sutra LLC, doing business as CareerStride. In these Terms, "CareerStride," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Shopping Sutra LLC and its CareerStride services.
By accessing or using CareerStride, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What CareerStride Provides
CareerStride is an AI-assisted career operating system. The service can help users organize career information, capture stories, review resumes and LinkedIn profiles, shortlist jobs, draft career materials, prepare for interviews, plan networking, and reflect on career growth.
CareerStride provides software, AI-generated drafts, recommendations, analysis, and workflow support. CareerStride does not guarantee that you will receive an interview, job offer, promotion, raise, referral, or specific career outcome.
Account Eligibility And Accuracy
- You must provide accurate account, billing, and contact information.
- You are responsible for the career information, resumes, LinkedIn links, job preferences, stories, and documents you provide.
- You must not submit false, unlawful, confidential third-party, or unauthorized information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and devices.
Human Approval And External Actions
CareerStride is designed around manual approval. The service may draft resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn content, outreach messages, application answers, and other materials, but you are responsible for reviewing, editing, approving, and using those materials.
- CareerStride does not auto-apply to jobs for you.
- CareerStride does not auto-post to LinkedIn for you.
- CareerStride does not auto-send LinkedIn messages, connection requests, recruiter messages, or referral messages for you.
- CareerStride does not use your LinkedIn cookies or ask you to bypass LinkedIn access controls.
Subscriptions, Trials, And Payments
Paid plans, trials, add-ons, and payment terms are presented at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout. You authorize us and our payment provider to charge your selected payment method for subscriptions, trials that convert to paid subscriptions, add-ons, taxes, and other applicable fees.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
Founding Cohort And Promotional Access
CareerStride may offer founding cohort grants, promotional access, discounted trials, coupon links, or private invite links. These offers may have different duration, usage allowances, eligibility rules, or renewal terms than standard paid plans.
Private invite links are intended only for the invited recipient or cohort. We may limit, revoke, or convert promotional access if we detect abuse, automated signups, resale, sharing outside the intended cohort, or usage that creates unusual operational risk.
Voice Minutes And Add-Ons
Some plans may include monthly voice or talk-time allowances for Maya. Text chat may remain available even when included voice minutes are exhausted, depending on your plan. Additional voice packs or add-ons may be offered separately.
Voice allowances, usage alerts, and add-on rules may change as the product evolves. We will show the applicable allowance or price before purchase.
Usage Budgets And Fair Use
CareerStride may apply usage budgets, rate limits, voice-minute limits, AI-credit limits, diagnostic limits, scraping limits, or other fair-use controls to protect product quality, prevent abuse, and keep plans sustainable. If your usage approaches or reaches a plan allowance, we may show an in-product notice, limit selected high-cost features, or ask you to upgrade.
Usage controls are not intended to prevent normal career work. They help keep Maya, voice, job ingestion, diagnostics, and AI workflows available for all users.
Acceptable Use
- Do not use CareerStride to break laws, misrepresent qualifications, impersonate others, or create deceptive career materials.
- Do not use CareerStride to spam employers, recruiters, LinkedIn users, or other third parties.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, attack, or bypass the security controls of CareerStride or its providers.
- Do not upload malware, secrets, confidential employer data, or third-party personal data you are not authorized to use.
AI Outputs And User Responsibility
AI outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for verifying all content before using it. This includes resumes, job matches, company insights, compensation guidance, negotiation scripts, interview answers, LinkedIn drafts, and networking messages.
CareerStride is not a law firm, financial advisor, medical provider, mental health provider, immigration advisor, recruiter of record, or employer. The service is not a substitute for professional advice.
Data, Retention, And Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, retain, and delete personal information. Anonymous website resume diagnostic uploads are retained for up to 24 hours by default. If you ask us to email a diagnostic report or continue follow-up, we may retain the diagnostic file and related report data for up to 14 days. If you create an account, selected lead diagnostic information may be transferred into your account profile.
Voice interactions are transcript-first. We do not intentionally store raw user voice recordings for the MVP. We may store text transcripts, summaries, extracted facts, and derived memory to power your CareerStride account.
Intellectual Property
CareerStride and its software, designs, workflows, prompts, models, content, brand, and product architecture are owned by CareerStride or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, reproduce, or create a competing service from CareerStride materials except as allowed by law.
You retain rights to career materials you provide. You grant CareerStride permission to process that content to provide, secure, improve, and support the service.
Suspension And Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your account violates these Terms, creates security risk, causes legal risk, abuses the service, or harms CareerStride, users, providers, employers, or third parties.
You may cancel your subscription according to the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Cancellation does not automatically delete account data. You may request deletion separately through the support path described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers And Limitation Of Liability
CareerStride is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerStride will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost employment, lost data, or reputational harm.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms as the product, laws, providers, or business model change. We will update the effective date and provide notice when legally required or when changes materially affect users.
