Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to CareerStride websites, applications, AI-assisted workflows, diagnostics, subscriptions, and related services operated by Shopping Sutra LLC d/b/a CareerStride.

Information We Collect

• Account information, such as name, email, authentication identifiers, subscription plan, and account settings.
• Career information, such as resumes, LinkedIn profile URLs, LinkedIn-derived profile data, job preferences, career goals, compensation preferences, work history, stories, skills, achievements, documents, and interview notes.
• Conversation information, such as Maya chat transcripts, summaries, extracted facts, derived memory, question answers, and feedback.
• Website diagnostic information, such as uploaded resumes, extracted contact details, LinkedIn URLs, diagnostic reports, source country signals, job-search country, and marketing source signals.
• Usage and device information, such as pages viewed, features used, time spent on pages, Maya interactions, voice seconds, AI/LLM usage, diagnostic usage, IP country or Cloudflare-provided country signal, browser/device metadata, logs, fraud or abuse signals, and approximate analytics.
• Payment information processed by Stripe, such as subscription status, invoices, payment events, billing country, and customer identifiers. CareerStride does not store full card numbers.

How We Use Information

• To operate CareerStride and provide Maya, job matching, Story Bank, documents, LinkedIn workflows, networking workflows, and career-growth tools.
• To personalize recommendations, job matches, readiness tracking, content drafts, resume drafts, interview prep, and weekly plans.
• To create diagnostic reports and follow-up emails when a website visitor asks for them.
• To measure product usage, improve workflows, prevent abuse, secure the service, debug errors, and support users.
• To process subscriptions, trials, cancellations, refunds, taxes, invoices, and payment-provider events.
• To comply with law, enforce policies, and protect CareerStride, users, providers, and third parties.

Resume Diagnostic Retention

Website visitors may upload a resume before creating an account. By default, anonymous uploaded files and diagnostic artifacts are retained for up to 24 hours, then deleted or scheduled for deletion.

If a visitor asks us to email a diagnostic report or continue follow-up, we may retain the uploaded file, extracted fields, diagnostic report, and related follow-up metadata for up to 14 days. If the visitor creates an account, selected diagnostic information may be transferred into that account so the user does not have to repeat the same setup.

Voice And Transcript Retention

For the MVP, CareerStride does not intentionally store raw user voice recordings. Voice interactions are converted to text, and the text transcript becomes the canonical record. We may store transcripts, summaries, extracted facts, derived memory, and usage seconds so Maya can remember context and improve the user's career workflow.

AI Providers And Processing Partners

CareerStride may use AI, transcription, hosting, analytics, payment, email, security, scraping, and data-processing providers to operate the service. These may include Google Cloud, Firebase, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Stripe, OpenRouter, Apify, email providers, observability tools, and similar vendors.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use user career content to train a CareerStride foundation model. Where available, we configure AI-provider usage so submitted user content is processed for service delivery rather than model training.

LinkedIn And Public Web Data

CareerStride may analyze LinkedIn profile information, public posts, job posts, company information, and other public or user-provided career materials to provide profile feedback, content ideas, networking suggestions, and job recommendations. CareerStride does not require users to provide LinkedIn cookies, does not use logged-in LinkedIn sessions for MVP scraping workflows, and does not automatically post, message, connect, or apply on a user's behalf.

Security

CareerStride uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data. Secrets, API keys, passwords, and database credentials are stored in Google Secret Manager or equivalent secure infrastructure, not in source code. Access to production systems is intended to be limited by role and operational need.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. Users should avoid uploading employer-confidential data, trade secrets, or personal data they are not authorized to use.

Retention

• Anonymous resume diagnostic uploads: up to 24 hours by default.
• Email-consented diagnostic reports: up to 14 days unless converted into an account or otherwise required for support/legal reasons.
• Account career data: retained while the account is active or as needed to provide the service, unless deletion is requested and no legal or operational exception applies.
• Billing records: retained as needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal obligations.
• Security and audit logs: retained as needed to secure the service, investigate abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Your Choices

• You may request export of account data.
• You may request deletion of account data, subject to legal, billing, security, fraud-prevention, and backup exceptions.
• You may cancel marketing or follow-up emails by using unsubscribe links where available or contacting us.
• You may choose not to upload a resume, LinkedIn profile, or voice transcript, though some product features may be limited.

Children

CareerStride is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

State And Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information about certain personal information. CareerStride will evaluate privacy requests according to applicable law.
