How do work values change my shortlist?

Once you take the Holland (RIASEC) assessment, Job Scout adds a values-fit component to the match score for every role. Roles that align with your top dimensions rank higher; roles that conflict with a strong value get a friction flag rather than a quiet bury. See /features/work-values for the full picture.

Where do the jobs come from?

We aggregate from major public job boards and direct company career pages. We do not scrape LinkedIn, and we do not auto-apply to anything — every move is approval-gated.

How is the match score calculated?

Four components: seniority fit (your years and scope vs the role), proof match (which proof bullets line up), comp fit (against your floor), and trajectory fit (does this role move your career forward). The Job Scout agent shows its work for each one.

Can I see why a role was ranked highly?

Yes — every shortlist entry includes plain-language reasoning. Which proof bullets fit, which gaps exist, and any risk flags. If you disagree, mark the role 'not for me' and the next shortlist learns from it.

How often does the shortlist refresh?

Daily, in your morning briefing. You can also force a refresh from the jobs surface if you update your preferences mid-day.

Will Career Stride apply on my behalf?

No. We are intentionally not an auto-apply tool. Every application moves only after you approve the resume, the cover letter, and the submission itself. Your name, your reputation, your call.
