Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how trials, cancellations, refunds, subscriptions, and add-ons work for CareerStride.

Subscriptions
CareerStride subscriptions are billed according to the plan and billing cadence shown at checkout. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout processes payments. CareerStride does not store full card numbers.
Trials
CareerStride may offer paid, discounted, or promotional trials. Trial terms are shown at checkout. If a trial converts automatically, the selected subscription begins at the end of the trial unless canceled before the trial ends.
Founding Cohort Grants And Private Offers
CareerStride may offer private founding cohort grants, temporary free access, discounted first-month offers, or $1 promotional trials. The offer terms shown on the signup, checkout, or invite page control that offer.
Promotional access may include lower usage budgets than a standard paid plan even when the product experience is otherwise similar. Promotional grants do not guarantee future free access, future discounts, or permanent plan pricing unless the offer explicitly says so.
Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription through account settings, Stripe's customer portal where available, or by contacting support.
- Cancellation stops future renewal charges, but does not automatically create a prorated refund.
- Unless otherwise stated, you keep access to paid features through the end of the current paid billing period.
- Cancellation does not automatically delete your account data. You may request deletion separately.
Refunds
For the MVP, CareerStride intends to offer a practical, low-friction refund experience. If something goes wrong in the first 14 days of a paid subscription, contact support and we will review the refund request.
After the first 14 days, payments are generally non-refundable and not prorated, except where required by law or where CareerStride approves an exception.
Voice Packs And Add-Ons
CareerStride may sell additional voice minutes, talk-time packs, services, or add-ons. Unless stated otherwise at purchase, add-ons are non-refundable after purchase except where required by law or approved by CareerStride support.
If voice packs are sold as non-expiring packs, unused minutes remain available while the account remains in good standing, subject to abuse controls and future plan changes disclosed before purchase.
Usage Limits
Some plans, trials, founding cohort grants, and private offers include usage limits for voice, AI generation, diagnostics, scraping-backed workflows, or other high-cost features. If an allowance is reached, CareerStride may pause or limit selected features until the next billing cycle, until an upgrade, or until an add-on is purchased.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, CareerStride or its payment provider may retry the charge, notify you, ask you to update your payment method, or limit access until payment is resolved. We may preserve account data for a reasonable period so you can reactivate.
Chargebacks And Disputes
If you dispute a charge through your bank or card provider, CareerStride may suspend billing-related account changes while the dispute is reviewed. Please contact support first when possible so we can resolve billing issues quickly.
Plan Changes
If you upgrade, downgrade, or change plans, the pricing and feature changes shown at checkout or in account settings will apply. Timing, proration, and access rules may depend on Stripe configuration and the specific plan change.
